Manifesto
Looked at closely, everything is extraordinary.
Why
We have learned to meet the most incredible things with ordinary reactions. Yet life itself, examined closely, is astonishing.
As children, everything was a discovery. In adulthood curiosity lost its value, and little time or reason is left to reflect.
c-o-c-o-a exists to call back that first astonishment through everyday objects: to look again at a crystal growing, at water wearing down stone, at the geometry of a honeycomb cell.
Principles
- 01
Design the conditions, not the form.
Pressure, light, temperature and time. Form is their result.
- 02
Little material, long life.
Few, lasting objects made with the least material and cost.
- 03
Repairability is an aesthetic.
Products that can be taken apart, mended, and carry a story.
- 04
Nature is a partner, not a reference.
Growth, erosion and crystallization are part of the design process.
- 05
Don’t forget to be amazed and curious.
Every object is an invitation to look again.
